How to add players in fantasy basketball? ›

Your roster is your entire team of acquired players, while your lineup refers to the players that are used in active roster positions.

In leagues with daily lineups, lineup lock usually occurs at the time the first game of a given night begins. In leagues with weekly lineups, lineup lock is set for the same time each week. Once that time passes, owners are not allowed to make any lineup changes.

Click on a player's name on your current roster that you wish to drop. Tap the big, red "Drop" button. Tap the "Drop Player" button to process the transaction. Tap the "Players" tab.

"The Undroppable Players List" is a list comprised of the top Fantasy players who can't be sent to waivers/free agency. Without this feature a team manager who is out of contention could drop a star player for their buddy, who is first on the waiver order, to pick up, therein bolstering their team for the playoffs.

Trading a player from an inactive roster position is allowed, but keep in mind that the traded player will be placed in an active position once they are on their new manager's team. The new manager must have enough available roster spots or the trade will be void.

No limit to the number of trades a team can make.

Yahoo Fantasy Sports doesn't support trades that involve more than two teams in a single transaction. If a three-team deal is negotiated, you can still process it by submitting the trades individually, but understand that teams are under no obligation to accept trade offers.

Lineup Lock: depending on your league settings, your active team lineup will lock on a daily basis, or weekly basis.

This starting lineup features one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, one tight end, one defense/special teams, and one kicker. Most leagues nowadays feature one more starter, whether it be a receiver or a flex position. We will cover that below.

Your league's custom invite URL can be accessed via your league homepage and also in the league settings. You can share this link with your friends through whichever means most convenient (i.e., email, text, social media), and the recipient of the link will automatically get dropped into the league.

On the ESPN Fantasy App

Go to your team homepage under "Roster". ​Tap on the "Move" button next to the player you wish to move. Tap the "Here" button next to the roster slot or player where you wish to move the selected player. If you select a slot that has a player in it, the two players will swap positions.
